Abdominal Fluid Collection Secondary to Acute Pancreatitis: Treated With Percutaneous Catheter Drainage
Figure 2. Curative percutaneous drainage of abdominal fluid collection secondary to acute pancreatitis. (A) Initial CT scan demonstrates a large fluid collection in the peripancreatic head extending into right pararenal space. (B) Plain radiograph after percutaneous placement of 18-F catheter with multiple side holes. (C) Follow-up CT scan obtained three weeks later shows a little residual infiltration over the right pararenal space. The patient required 30 days of catheter drainage.
